How we help Castle Hill
To keep things focused, we work across five core areas. Click any of them below for a Castle Hill-specific page on how we handle that type of matter.
Traffic Offences → From drink driving and speeding through to licence appeals and P-plater suspensions. As a rule, Parramatta Local Court hears these.
Criminal Law → Above all, we focus on protecting your record and your future, whether it’s assault, AVOs, drug offences, theft or a first-time charge.
Family Law → Separation, divorce, parenting, property settlements and consent orders. Above all, we keep things calm, quick and child-focused.
Conveyancing → In each case, whether you’re buying an established Castle Hill family home on a leafy street near Showground Road, an apartment in one of the newer developments around Castle Towers, or a townhouse closer to the Old Northern Road end of the suburb.
Wills and Estates → Wills, powers of attorney, enduring guardianship, probate and, where needed, estate disputes.
Why Castle Hill locals choose us
First, we’re local. Our Bella Vista office is about a 7-minute drive from Castle Hill — straight down Old Windsor Road, or one stop on the Metro from Castle Hill station. On top of that, we appear at Parramatta Local Court most weeks and at Hornsby Local Court regularly. As a result, we know how each list runs, who the registrars are, and what each magistrate expects — so by the time your first appearance comes around, it isn’t anyone’s first day.
Second, we’re small enough to care. From start to finish, you’ll speak to the principal solicitor on every matter — not a different paralegal each call. In most cases, clients reach us within a business day. Beyond that, we offer after-hours appointments when work or family makes business hours impossible.
Finally, we’re upfront on cost. Wherever the matter allows, we offer fixed-fee quotes. Otherwise, you’ll get a clear written estimate before any work begins. Either way, no surprise bills.
About the suburb we serve
Castle Hill is one of the prestige suburbs of The Hills District — settled as far back as 1802 and built out steadily through the post-war period, with significant redevelopment around the town centre following the opening of the Sydney Metro Northwest in 2019. Today it’s home to around 41,000 residents, making it one of the largest and most established suburbs in the north-west. Housing stock is genuinely mixed — substantial four- and five-bedroom homes on full blocks through the older streets near Showground Road and Gilbert Road, townhouse and villa pockets across the suburb, and a growing apartment market around Castle Towers and the Metro station. As a result, median house prices typically sit well above $2 million, with units trading more modestly.
In terms of who lives there, Castle Hill is one of the more affluent and family-oriented suburbs in The Hills, with a median age in the early forties and a high proportion of couples with school-aged or adult children. The suburb has long-established Chinese, Indian, Korean, Iranian and Sri Lankan communities, along with smaller English, South African and Hong Kong-born populations — and just under half of households speak a language other than English at home. On top of that, the demographic skews toward professional households, with strong representation in healthcare, professional services, education and finance. Consequently, the work we see from Castle Hill clients reflects that mix. For instance, conveyancing on higher-value established homes and the newer apartment stock around the town centre, estate planning for families with adult children and significant assets, separations and property settlements with more complex asset pools, parenting matters, and the traffic and criminal matters that come with the M2, Old Northern Road and Showground Road feeding into the suburb.

Frequently asked questions: courts, fees and appointments
Which court will my Castle Hill matter be heard at? Generally, Parramatta Local Court on George Street hears most Local Court matters from Castle Hill — including traffic charges, AVOs, and lower-level criminal matters. That said, some matters from the Hornsby Shire side of the suburb are listed at Hornsby Local Court instead. For family law matters, we usually file in the Federal Circuit and Family Court at Parramatta. In either case, we appear regularly.
Do you offer fixed fees? Yes, for simple matters. In particular, we fix-fee conveyancing, simple wills, powers of attorney, and many traffic and some lower-level criminal matters from the first call. For more complex matters, we give a clear written estimate before any work begins.
How much does the first consultation cost? The first call is free. Consultations attract our standard rate, which we’ll tell you about upfront.
How quickly can I get an appointment? In most cases, we book clients in within one to two business days. That said, for urgent matters — bail, AVO listings, urgent parenting issues — we’ll see you the same day where we can.
Frequently asked questions: consultations and conveyancing
Can I have an after-hours or weekend appointment? Yes. By arrangement, we offer evening and weekend appointments for clients who can’t make it in during business hours.
Do you offer phone or video consultations? Yes, where possible. In fact, many Castle Hill clients prefer phone or video for the first consult and only come into the office when documents need signing.
Do you handle conveyancing for apartment purchases and higher-value homes? Yes. As mentioned, Castle Hill has both a strong established-home market and a growing apartment market around the town centre and Metro station. We act on established home purchases and sales, apartment and off-the-plan contracts, downsizer purchases, investor buys, and transfers. Just as importantly, we know what to watch for — sunset clauses in off-the-plan contracts, strata schemes and by-laws in newer buildings, and the stamp duty thresholds and concessions that apply at Castle Hill price points.
What if my matter isn’t in one of your five practice areas? Give us a call. If it’s not something we handle, then we’ll point you toward a local solicitor who does.
